Classical Quest’s math practice aligns with the major classical-style math programs — Math-U-See, Saxon, Singapore, and the math sequences classical programs use in their weekly memory work. We don’t replace your curriculum; we provide the spaced-repetition practice for what you’re already teaching.
Grammar Stage students (K–6th) practice math facts, basic operations, and the multiplication tables. Logic Stage (7th–8th) practice fractions, decimals, geometry, and pre-algebra word problems. Rhetoric Stage (9th–12th) extends into algebra, systems, and quadratics.
Dr. Kat is a classical-education math instructor who teaches parents how to teach their students’ math. Her lesson series lives at /dr-kat-math; this practice surface reinforces the concepts she teaches. Every question gets a teaching explanation — right or wrong.
The same spaced repetition pattern that makes Latin vocabulary stick works on math facts. Words and facts you know well appear less often; facts you struggle with come back more frequently. Over weeks, the multiplication tables move from effortful to automatic.
Yes — "Math in the Ancient World" at /math/stories is a set of ten story cards connecting ancient achievements (the pyramids, Roman aqueducts, ocean navigation) to the math concept behind each one. It's a reading-friendly way into the subject alongside the practice drills.
