Watch the Visual Latin lesson. Complete the workbook exercises with Dwane Thomas's instruction as the guide.

Every day

Classical Quest daily practice: use Marcus Guided to set a short time boundary and subject focus for spaced-repetition review of Latin vocabulary from completed lessons, plus timeline, geography, and the other Grammar Stage subjects.

Weekly

Parent checks the Classical Quest dashboard — which vocabulary is mastered, which is still in the learning queue. Use that to decide whether to hold on a lesson or move forward.

When Visual Latin alone makes sense

Visual Latin is a well-made curriculum and genuinely engaging for many students. If your student is in the early lessons and retention is not yet a concern — or if your family does consistent oral review and workbook practice that handles repetition well — you may not need a separate practice tool immediately. Classical Quest adds the most value when students are past the first few lessons and the vocabulary volume starts to accumulate faster than review can keep up.
