Parent Guide Chapter 9
How to Navigate Classical Quest
Learn where Daily Quest, Subjects, games, and parent tools fit into the app.
Classical Quest is designed to be your family's daily practice companion for classical memory work. Here is a quick overview of how to get the most out of it.
Select Your Learning Stage
Use the tabs at the top of the home page to choose your learning stage — Grammar Stage, Writing, or your Logic/Rhetoric level. If you are in the Grammar Stage, also select your current year (1, 2, or 3). Classical Quest remembers your selection for next time.
Choose a Subject
Your home page shows all available subjects for your program. Tap any subject card to start practicing. The 8 classical Grammar Stage subjects are Latin, Timeline & History, Math, Science, English Grammar, Geography, Fine Arts, and Bible Memory.
Practice Daily
Short daily sessions (10–15 minutes) are more effective than long weekend sessions. The app tracks your streak to keep you motivated. Use the Weekly Drill to drill exactly what your program covers each week.
Use Marcus for guided feedback
For Logic and Rhetoric stage students, Marcus Guided can keep the next practice step focused, explain missed work, and point the student back to the subjects that need attention tomorrow.
Track Progress & Aim for Mastery Exam
If your family is pursuing Mastery Exam, use the Mastery Exam Prep tool to track which weeks and subjects your student has mastered. The spaced repetition system automatically schedules review of previously learned material.
✅ Tip: For a no-account preview, start with the First Quest picker. It points your student to public sample quests before signup. Daily Quest is the Marcus Guided routine; a trial account lets Marcus save the plan for tomorrow.
